A Summer Fling with Sir John A

  Earlier this summer, your humble Agenda host was asked by the head of the Sir John A. Macdonald Bicentennial Commission to help lead a tour through our first prime minister's hometown, Kingston.   How could I resist the invitation of the learned Arthur Milnes?   Arthur Milnes, head of the Sir John A. Macdonald Bicentennial Commission, beside one of the country's very few statues of our first PM.   The former home of Sir John A. Macdonald.   Kingston's MP and MPP came along for part of the tour: Ted Hsu and John Gerretson.   Milnes is hoping 2015, the year of the 200th anniversary of John A. Macdonald's birth, will be embraced by Canadians as an opportunity to learn more about our first PM and the country's history. For more information on the commission, go here:
