Canstruction – Volunteers Needed

Daily Bread Food Bank needs your help with one of our largest third party events, Canstruction, taking place this November in the Cadillac Fairview buildings at Bay and Wellington in Toronto. We need up to 100 volunteers to help deliver and take down food at the event. This will be a physical day of work moving thousands of pounds of food. Volunteers will need to be capable of lifting 20lbs and moving skids of food for at least 4 hours. Sunday, November 6, 8a.m. to 5p.m. Delivering skids of food to build site. Friday, November 11, 6 to 10p.m. Tearing down structures and putting food in bins. Saturday, November 12, 7a.m. to 12p.m. Tearing down structures and putting food in bins. Sign up for one, or all days, for a minimum of 4 hours per day. Earn high school volunteer hours Canstruction is a fantastic event where over 20 local architectural and design firms compete to see who can create the best structures built entirely of canned goods. After the week-long event, all food is donated to Daily Bread.
