Fall Drive Public Food Sorts

Syndicated from: Daily Bread Food Bank

Starting Monday, September 12th at 8:30 a.m., Daily Bread Food Bank will begin accepting registrations by phone to volunteer at our annual Public Food Sorts during the Thanksgiving weekend of our Fall Drive. We will not be accepting any registrations before that date. Individuals, families and groups (15 people max.) are welcome! Please remember that for health and safety reasons absolutely no children under the age of 8 are allowed in the warehouse. We are a working warehouse with forklifts and trucks and it is not safe for children under that age. Please remember to wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty and absolutely no open-toed shoes. Children and teenagers between the age of 8 and 17 must have a permission and waiver form signed by a parent or guardian and must bring the signed form with them on the day they are volunteering. You can download this form here. Please print, sign and bring with you on the day you are volunteering. Volunteers aged 8 to 14 must also be accompanied by an adult who will volunteer with them throughout the shift. If you are a high school student and need a student letter confirming your volunteer hours, please email volunteer@dailybread.ca ahead of time with the subject title “PFS Forms”. The following dates and shifts will be available. Saturday, October 8 Morning: 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Afternoon: 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Full day: 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, October 10 Morning: 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Afternoon: 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Full Day: 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
