Pam Slim: The Great Work MBA Interview

Syndicated from: Box of Crayons

These days it’s increasingly rare to have a stable career in any field. More and more people are blending big company jobs, startup gigs, freelance work, and volunteer side projects. Pam Slim’s Body of Work is a powerful and transformative new book that shows us how to take a look at how we are greater than the sum of our parts. Pam demonstrates how to find the connections among diverse accomplishments, sell your story, and continually reinvent and relaunch your brand. (As part of her “side hustle and flow” series, I sat down with Pam and shared my own experiences of how I got from there to here.) So I was as pleased as Punch when Pam agreed to be part of our Great Work MBA program. And, now I’m thrilled to be able to share this segment with you, posted below. In it, Pam and I talk about why  finding your roots and looking at that as a source of wisdom is more important or perhaps more valuable than looking for your purpose. (The live event Great Work MBA is now over, so just ignore the hashtags, etc.) If you want to buy access to ALL of the great interviews, insights and goodies, it’s only $145 and you’ll also be helping charity:water! In the video, we also delve into tapping into emotion to unleash your inner tiger, and Pam provides some very clever points about the power of your tribe, sharing your message, and why we should look back (way back!) to our roots to find clues about our future. Powerful stuff.
